The Mayor of Lousada, Pedro Machado, and the President of the Union of Parishes of Cristelos, Boim, and Ordem, Eduardo Vilar, visited Polopiqué’s factory in Boim.
According to a press release from the municipality, this industry, established in the Boim Industrial Zone, was one of the investments attracted to the municipality in the past and led to the hiring of around 200 people, most of whom were previously unemployed.
“The company, located in a region with a strong textile tradition, chose Lousada to develop one of its manufacturing units, with exports as its main business focus”, said the municipality.
